This tomato pasta sauce is super simple, tastes amazing and easy to put together.  You can use it for any of your pasta dishes.  I like to make a big pot of it up and freeze.  Then it is ready for lasagna, spaghetti, or any way you like it.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans diced tomatoes (drained)
  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 /2 to 1 medium onion chopped (depends on how “oniony” you like it)
  • 2 -3 cloves garlic minced (again – according to your taste)
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 -2 tsp basil (add in one and then taste and see how you would like it)

Directions:

In a sauce pan melt butter and cook the garlic and onions in the butter until the onions are clear. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook until heated through. Season with salt according to taste. Serve with your favorite pasta or even add in some meat for a meat sauce.
