We love this frosty grape salad.  Unfortunately my husband does not like grapes so that only meant that I would be the only one eating it.  Not that this is a bad thing but, I decided that I needed to change it up a little.  I added some strawberries along with the grapes and there you have it.  It is now a win win for the both of us.  Feel free to add in other fruits.  I have also added apples.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds red grapes
  • 2 pounds green grapes or strawberries, apples etc.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz.)pkg. cream cheese (light works great)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Directions

Remove grapes from stems and place in a large bowl (if using strawberries or apples cut them up before adding).  Mix together sour cream, cream cheese and vanilla.  In another bowl combine sugar and nuts.  Add 1/3 or the sugar/nut mixture to the cream cheese mixture and pour over fruit.  Mix to combine.  Place the fruit into your serving bowl (a trifle dish looks really pretty).  Spread the remaining sugar/nut mixture over the top.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.
