This creamy chocolate dessert always brings a smile to my kids faces.  They absolutely love chocolate mousse.  It is thick, creamy and positively dreamy.  Super easy to make and it looks wonderful.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 6 Tablespoons Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Vanilla
  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar

Directions:

Melt the milk chocolate and water in a saucepan (I use a double boiler).   Whisk in the Vanilla and let it cool to room temperature.   Whip the cream until it makes soft peaks and then add the powdered sugar.  After the chocolate has cooled fold it into the whip cream mixture until it is well combined.  Garnish with more whip cream and chocolate drizzle. Enjoy!   Be sure to wait until the chocolate has cooled completely before you add it to the whip cream, otherwise you will have a runny mess! Be patient, it takes a little time to cool down!
