These sandwiches have been in my husband’s family for years and the special sauce comes from my Father In-Law.  It was especially difficult to pin down the recipe, because he does the sauce by taste and feel 🙂  Not portions and measurements.  Finally, I was able to get an idea of the right recipe and it was worth the wait. Ham or turkey are great compliments along with a soft dinner roll to complete the sandwich. These sandwiches are very simple, very tasty and can feed 5 or 500.
Ingredients:
Sauce
- 1 c. mayo
- 3 tsp. sugar
- 1/8 c. mustard
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp. garlic salt
Sandwich
- shredded ham
- shredded turkey
- King’s Hawiaiian rolls or other small rolls
Directions:
Whisk all ingredients for the sauce together. Â When ready to serve the sandwiches, cut rolls in half, spread sauce on both sides of roll and top with desired meat. Â Serve immediately.
